What To Expect
It’s never too soon to promote early literacy skills for your baby. Babies explore the world around them by using their five senses. Hearing language at a young age helps babies speak and build the foundation for reading. Lay the foundation early to prepare your baby for success. Little Readers is a highly engaging class that allows the mom and baby to bond while exploring new sounds and books, singing nursery rhymes and moving in ways that support brain development. Come meet new moms, have fun and set your child up for success in reading.
How It Works
Mondays 11:00am-11:45am
2870 E. Cherokee Dr.
Canton, GA 30115
Each component of the the class is purposefully curated and backed by research to promote literacy, language and brain development. Each Little Readers class will focus on an alphabet sound by using visual phonics and sign language. Discover nursery rhymes and fun songs that build the foundation for speech and language. Enjoy a read aloud to promote a love of learning and introduce new vocabulary. Little Readers provides a FREE board book with EACH class! This book will be used in class while you interact with your baby. Finally, you'll learn strategies to continue development for your little one at home.
1Visual Phonics & Sign Language
Visual tools promote literacy development and are used to introduce new sight words and alphabet sounds.
2Reading
Have fun exploring new books and vocabulary. A FREE board book is provided each session to practice phonics skills while bonding with your baby and instilling a love of reading.
3Singing Songs
We’ll sing songs and act out nursery rhymes to aid in speech and oral language development. This allows babies to become interested in the rhythm and patterns of language.
4Activate Brain Development
Each lesson is carefully created to activate brain development. Moms and babies are instructed to move in ways that stimulate both sides of the brain.

“Amy gave us the pleasure of trying out Little Readers and it quickly became a fan favorite with our little. Not only did she provide the toys, books, and music, but the overall lesson plan was thoroughly thought out and rememberable enough that my child was repeating the letter and sounds it makes for days following. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an educational, yet fun environment for children and their moms/dads/guardians.”

"We loved all of our Little Readers experiences with Amy! Amy puts great thought into each lesson which keeps the kids engaged and wanting to learn. I noticed that each lesson incorporated a specific theme in which all the materials and books matched perfectly to each theme. This made it easy for us moms to also learn so we can take home and teach! I love how the classes are also small and intentional. We would highly recommend her classes!"
